Hodogaya Church is a parish in the Archdiocese of Yokohama. Our bishop is Bishop Umemura, our pastor is Lee Byung Hun.
The church was established on top of the hill of Hodogaya 70 years ago when the area was quiet farming land with long vistas of grape vines. Since that time, Hodogaya has developed quite a bit, the farming village has changed into a city filled up with houses and condominiums. However, just as it was 70 years ago, the church continues to be a serene praying place, which I believe is valuable for modern day people who want to feel at ease spiritually. The church is open to the public from AM7:00 to PM7:00. Everybody can freely come in and pray in the chapel. Pray for your peace of mind, pray for peace in your family and pray for peace in the society you belong to. We can just start praying "Prayer for Peace" which St.Franciscus Assis wrote for us 800 years ago. May the peace of the Lord be among us. God bless you.

Prayer of St.Francis of Assisi.
Lord make me an instrument of thy peace!
Where there is hatred,let me sow love;
Where there is injury,pardon;
Where there is discord,union;
Where there is doubt,faith;
Where there is delusion,truth;
Where there is despair,hope;
Where there is darkness,light,and;
Where there is sadness,joy.
O Divine Master,grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood,as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born for eternal Life.
